We had one piece of cake left over and decided to leave it for our submarine friends. We wrote a note "Courtesy of the USS L. Y. SPEAR (AS-36) Association" at the top. At the bottom "...Still "serving"". Our onsite manager, Jodie, had their hospitality room unlocked so that we could put this in there. When they returned, they passed by our door and one stopped to tell me what they meant about the cake. Of course, I played dumb... (easy for me!). They went to their hospitality room and waited for it to be unlocked and went inside. A minute or two later, here came a couple of them holding the cake tray! We all burst out laughing!
